Getting to Peyto Lake By Car From Banff

Distance: Approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles).
Travel Time: About 1 hour 15 minutes.
Take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) west to Lake Louise, then turn onto the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) north. Follow signs for Bow Summit/Peyto Lake Viewpoint.

Getting to Peyto Lake From Lake Louise

Distance: Approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles).
Travel Time: About 30 minutes.
Head north on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93). Look for signs directing you to the Bow Summit area.

Distance: Approximately 190 kilometers (118 miles).
Travel Time: About 2 hours 30 minutes.
Drive south on the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) and look for the Bow Summit/Peyto Lake Viewpoint parking lot.
